How to Post an Ad
Posting on BuySalex is free and takes about two minutes.
1. Sign in
Create an account with your email or phone number, or sign in with Google. You may need to confirm your email or phone number before your first ad.
2. Tap Sell
Use the Sell button at the top of any page (or in the bottom bar on your phone) and choose the category that fits your item best.
3. Add photos
Upload up to the allowed number of photos. The first photo is the one buyers see in search results, so make it a clear shot of the whole item. Take photos in daylight, against a plain background, and include close-ups of labels, serial numbers and any wear.
4. Write a clear title and description
- Title: brand, model and the most important detail. "Honda Activa 6G, 2022, single owner" works better than "Scooty for sale".
- Description: condition, age, what is included, any faults, and why you are selling. Honest ads get fewer wasted calls.
- Fill in the extra fields for your category, such as kilometres, storage or size. They help your ad show up in filtered searches.
If you are stuck, try the writing assistant on the form. It suggests a title and description from a few words, and you can edit everything before posting.
5. Set a price and location
Look at similar ads to set a realistic price. After you post, you will see a label telling you how your price compares. Choose the area where buyers can see the item.
6. Post
Most ads go live straight away after our automatic safety checks. Some are held for a quick manual review, usually within a few hours, and you will be notified when they are approved.
After posting
- Reply to chats quickly. Buyers often contact several sellers at once.
- Edit the price or details at any time from your dashboard.
- Mark the item as sold when it is gone. This closes open chats and lets you and the buyer review each other.
